Pirate Math Equation Quest (PMEQ) Additive Schemas is a math word-problem intervention for first through third-grade students experiencing math difficulty. Note: If your students are older, fourth grade on up, take the Pirate Math Equation Quest Group Level course instead because that includes multiplicative schemas, as well.  During PMEQ, students receive explicit instruction on reading, interpreting, setting up, and solving word problems with a focus on schemas.
