It is impossible to overestimate the importance of literacy skills in today's society, yet, historically, millions of individuals with the most complex special needs have been deprived of the opportunity to learn to read and write because of the lack of effective, research-based literacy interventions. This Accessible Literacy Learning (ALL) reading program is designed to address this urgent need, and it is our hope (at BRIDGE-RI) that this course will help further advance implementation of this life-altering innovation by Dr. Janice Light and Dr. David McNaughton out of Pennsylvania State University.
